Seven years ago, Zaid went to war against the Copenhagen underworld to avenge his dead brother. Darkland: The Return is a Danish thriller that arrived on April 13, 2023, following a former cardigan doctor turned underworld operative who must infiltrate Copenhagen's criminal network to secure his freedom and protect his estranged son. Seven years after his initial war against the underworld, protagonist Zaid faces an impossible choice: accept a police deal that risks everything he has left, or abandon his last chance at redemption. The film explores whether escape from the criminal world is truly possible once you're trapped within it.
