Femme Fatale is a 2002 crime thriller following a con artist who assumes a new identity after pulling off a $10-million diamond heist, only to have her past catch up with her when a tabloid photographer spots her in Paris. Directed by Brian De Palma, the film stars Rebecca Romijn as Laure Ash, a woman caught between her glamorous new life as a diplomat's wife and the dangerous enemies seeking revenge or a cut of the stolen diamonds.
