The climate crisis is here. But is there hope? Joko is on a mission! Perhaps there is technical innovation that can help us to stop climate change. Joko drives solar cars through the desert and sucks CO2 out of the air - only to discover that the solution is quite different from what he thought.

Is it in the nature of large corporations to operate without any consideration for humanity and nature? Or is it possible to generate profits while also doing good? Joko's search for people who want to change their companies not only takes him back to his home village, it also has him overcome his fear of heights on the open sea. Could businesses ultimately save the climate?

We are all familiar with slogans such as "Climate protection starts with you." What few people know is that behind them are often actors who only want to protect themselves. Instead of real change, they give us green promises and a guilty conscience. In this episode, Joko tries to find out who they are. At first he despairs, until one thing gives him hope after all...

The climate crisis is unfair. It affects most those who have contributed to it the least. On his journey through parts of Africa, Joko observes the consequences of climate change everywhere, looks at solutions that come from the Global South itself and almost becomes a Ugandan movie star in the process.

Joko is plagued by doubt: Is change even possible in our system of endless growth? System change instead of climate change? Joko is looking for alternatives. Green growth would be the solution that unites economic growth and climate protection, according to some. Others disagree. So what's the truth?
